24hr Prayer

Does God exist?
Does He answer prayer?
People at Longton Community Church certainly think so. In fact they prayed for Longton round the clock from 7pm on Friday 12th March 2010 to 7pm Saturday night.

Report from Prayer time in March 2009
As a church we spent 24hrs in prayer and fasting from 8:00pm on March the 28th 2009 to 8:00pm on March 29th. Everyone fasted for the whole 24hrs and also signed up to give an hour or two in prayer in the church building. We set out a number of different stations around the church to help people focus their prayer. Most people found that one hour was not long enough and several people stayed for 3 to 4 hours praying.

Below are some of the comments that people wrote as they responded to God:
Oh Lord My God How can I ever thank you for what you did for me on that cross?
You bled and died that I might live and have eternal life.
You removed my sin as far as from the east is from the west and remembered them no more.
You are my Saviour Redeemer Lord my life, light of the world, magnificent, wonderful, amazing Jesus"

Thank you Lord Thank you that you meet all my needs I pray that you will meet the needs of all your faithful people also to those who don't know you but cry out for someone to help them and those who don't ask I intercede for them. Eph 3:14-12 the love of Christ.

Bread, a staple food that is a good foundation on which other things can be added, right for breakfast, right for lunch, right for dinner and supper, right for a snack. So is the Word of God.

John 6:51 (NIV) I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
