Staying true...
At Longton Community Church we believe church is about people and relationships, not a building. Our aim is to make church real to people, in the way it was originally intended; which is mapped out for us in the Bible. On this journey towards authenticity there are three key elements vital to our purpose:
- Through worship and prayer, both individually and together we express our thanks and love to God and deepen our relationship with him. We believe in an Authentic Church worship and prayer are not just Sunday activities but a lifestyle in which we seek to please God and honour him, confident that he hears and answers us.
- Through building strong relationships we help each other to grow to be more like Christ and encourage one another with truth from the Bible. We believe Authentic Church is a place where everyone can feel accepted, belong and contribute their unique gifts and talents.
- Through reaching out to the community we declare the good news that Jesus came to bring life in all its fullness. We believe that Authentic Church recognises God's plan is to bring wholeness to the hurting, restoring people physically, emotionally and spiritually.
If you want to know more about being part of an Authentic Church why don't you come alone on a Sunday morning at 10:30 and discover for yourself what it is like being on a journey towards being an authentic church.
