What's on at Longton Community Church
Home GroupsWe meet in smaller groupson Tuesday and Thursday evening and on Wednesday morning. Home groups are a placewhere right where you fit and start growing in your Christian life. They are away of supporting and encouraging one another.
LongtonKnitters meet on a Monday at 2:00pmin the church. Come and join them and enjoy a drink and a chat with goodfriends while knitting articles of clothing for charities.
LongtonArt Group, develop your creativeskills and meet other like-minded artists. Longton Art Group meets to exchangeideas, tips and techniques in all types of creative arts. The standard of workis mixed ability and everyone, whether beginner or more experienced artist iswelcome. Please call for more details.
Brownies is for girls aged seven to ten and they meet at 6:45 on Thursday evenings. Brownies follow a programme called the Brownie Adventure. The name reflects the world of exciting opportunities, challenges and fun that is Brownies.Girls can participate in awide range of activities at their regular meetings, and at special events, daytrips, sleepovers, camps and holidays. They can find themselves trying out art sand crafts or recipes, playing energetic games, taking part in community action projects. If you want to kow more check out the brownie web site.
Beaver Scouts are young people usually agedbetween six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Sectionin the Scouting family. Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoisesweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visitsand helping others. Cubs Scouts, as a Cub Scout there are loads of fun things that you can do. You will get achance to try lots of different activities. they meet on friday as well starting at 7:00pm. If you want to know more about Cub Scouts check out thier web site.
